ZANU PF aspiring candidates have accelerated their voter mobilisation exercise ahead of the Primary elections through continuous engagement with people at the grassroots level,
has learnt.
Speaking on the sidelines of the commissioning of the Fontaine Ridge Housing Project, an aspiring candidate, Martin Dzotizeyi from Kuwadzana East said they had intensified their mobilisation strategy ahead of the forthcoming Harmonised General Elections by engaging with the electorate at the grassroots level.
“With a few months before the General Election and we have intensified our mobilisation program by moving around in groups peacefully engaging with the electorate. The church and the youths are playing an active role in the mobilisation exercise. We are ensuring that all members in our registers are assisted to register to vote. The President’s mantra is ‘leaving noone and no place behind’ so we are doing all that is possible to ensure exhaustive voter registration ahead of the elections. The party is going for broke in the 2023 general elections, the opposition political parties must be defeated by huge margins.
“I am happy that our President has given us the opportunity to participate in the politics of our country as empowered and proud youths. During our campaigns, we are encouraging members from the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) party to join the winning party which is bringing development to our country. There are already 4.5 million people in the Party’s cell structures, we want to ensure that all of them are registered to vote to ensure undeniable victory this coming elections,” said Dzotizeyi.
Dzotizeyi expressed gratitude to President Emmerson Mnangagwa for keeping the Manifesto promises he made, especially the housing for all by 2030 which has seen a lot of housing development as well as the regularisation of irregular settlements. This resonates well with the President’s mantra of leaving no place and no one behind in every sector of the economy, as the country moves towards the attainment of Vision 2030 of an Upper Middle Income Society/Economy.
