Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) Bulawayo province has castigated its CCC councillors for failing to deliver on their mandate as they continue sleeping on duty at a time the country is preparing for the 2023 Harmonised General Elections.
A leaked CCC WhatsApp group revealed that the CCC Bulawayo members are aggrieved at the CCC councillors for failing to represent the party even at members’ funerals.
“Salikhetha silithemba that you will stand for us but today you are in hiding living in luxury, this is very bad ukuthi amaCouncillors ethu athule agoqe izandla as if abekho, we need answers to our questions, they can’t pretend as if abezwa. These guys even fail to go to funerals in their locations. This makes the electorate think they made a mistake,” said one CCC member.
The Bulawayo CCC members further suggested that they will not vote for non-performers who are clearly in those positions merely as jobseekers and not representatives of the people.
“This makes the electorate think they made the wrong choice. How do they want people to have confidence in them, besesaba ukukhuluma kugroup.
“We are now forced to conclude that we elected job seekers pretending to be genuine candidates. My question is who is in charge in Bulawayo, we have the majority of councillors in Bulawayo but it seems these councillors are only on paper, shame on you councillors liyacasula shame,” said another CCC member
Meanwhile, factionalism within the CCC party continues to rip that party to shreds with the Chamisa faction having washed its hands off of interim national chairperson Job Sikhala’s incarceration issues angering the Maruva cabal which is led by interim secretary general, Charlton Hwende and interim co-vice president Tendai Biti.
The CCC Bulawayo members are swearing that they will not support a Shona to be leader of that party as well as to be their presidential candidate for the elections this year.
