Binga residents have applauded the Government for the new solar system installations at their various clinics across the district this week.

This positive development which is in line with Government`s mantra of attaining an Upper Middle Income Status by 2030, comes at a time the country is facing electrical challenges due to climate changes.

The solar systems were distributed by the Ministry of Health and Child Care to seven Health institutions in Binga District, namely Chunga, Nasengwa, Sinakoma, Chinego, Pushu, Siadindi and Faison clinic.

Gladys Mwinde, a pregnant Binga woman commended the development highlighting that this new initiative would help the community especially the maternity as it usually gets busier during the night.

“President Emmerson Mnangagwa has brought in solar systems at a time we needed it the most, now we say goodbye to the dark-age days in clinics. Pregnant women such as me will benefit the most because we sometimes give birth during odd hours where extensive power cuts are normally experienced,” said Mwinde.

Netizens have applauded the government for a job well-done stating that the struggles of power crisis in the clinics and hospitals in areas that were once viewed as marginalized has now come to an end.

“For ages, clinics and hospitals have struggled with power crisis which resulted in half-meal service being offered. The new developments in Binga have upgraded an area which was once labeled remote in the past. Health care is vital in all aspects of life. This innovation has shown that the Second Republic under President Mnangagwa leaves no place and no one behind,” said Snowball on his Twitter handle.

According to Tatenda Ndlovu, a resident in Hwange, the people of Matebeleland North expressed satisfaction towards the Government for bringing in the new developments in their area.

“The solar installation has been welcomed and accepted with open hands as it has brought about life changing developments in Mat North. The Second Republic led by President Mnangagwa has brought development in the areas that were under developed and said to be long forgotten,” said Ndlovu.

Meanwhile, while addressing thousands of people in Binga District last year during the hand over of fishing rigs to 21 Chiefs in Binga District, President Mnangagwa reiterated that no place and no one will be left behind in terms of development.
