Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) is set to promote Brand Zimbabwe in a bid to court investors and seek business partners.
At a conference held at Cresta Lodge Hotel in Harare yesterday, ZNCC President, Chris Mugari said that ZNCC engaged businesses to find solutions to strengthen business operations and remain resilient in growing the economy. He added that they wanted to promote Brand Zimbabwe and also create a favourable environment for investors to come into the country.
According to Mugari, the Brand Zimbabwe campaign is a show of the Second Republic’s strong commitment to reposition the country so that it regains its rightful place in the international community.
“We want to promote Brand Zimbabwe and seek business partners. The year, 2023 will be about bold reforms bold infrastructure. Let’s create a red carpet for investors to come into Zimbabwe. People in business must also invest in alternative sources of energy to deal with power challenges being faced in our economy. We are engaging the authorities to find out short term, long term and lasting solutions to power challenges,” said Mugari.
Mugari advised local businesses to invest in solar to avert the power challenges and ensure that their businesses have uninterrupted power supply.
Business players who attended the event further vowed to work together with the Government to finding lasting solutions to the power challenges and to reposition the country as an economic powerhouse.
A representative of Superfert Fertilizer Company, Isaac Muranganwa said that as a business, they were exploring alternative power sources so that they continue meeting their productions targets.
Meanwhile, the Conference was attended by various business players namely Tel -One, First Capital Bank, Zimnat, Alpha Media Holdings, Fitch Solutions, Steward Bank, Quadfin, Sourthern Cotton, Cimas, Navidale Textile and Croco Commercial among others.
