Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) interim Bulawayo provincial chairperson, James Sithole was involved in a car accident last Friday and is pointing fingers at fellow CCC members for causing the accident.

A source who spoke to this publication said that Sithole was driving his parliamentary vehicle from Harare when he was sideswiped by another vehicle just after Kwekwe.

“Sithole was involved in an accident last Friday on his way from Harare. When he had passed Kwekwe, a white Nissan hard body that was coming from the opposite direction sideswiped Sithole’s car forcing it off the road. Sithole tried to control the vehicle but failed and the vehicle only stopped after hitting a tree,” said the source.

The source added that the driver of the white Nissan didn’t stop to check on Sithole who was only helped by some good Samaritans who took him to a hospital in Bulawayo.

The source said that because of the accident, Sithole failed to attend a rally that was addressed by Chamisa at McDonald Hall in Bulawayo.

According to the same source, Sithole is suspecting foul play and is accusing the rival faction within CCC of trying to eliminate him.

“Sithole is suspecting that some members within CCC want to see him dead. He is convinced that the faction of Tabitha Khumalo and Hellen Zivira is determined to see him dead. He is treating the accident as an assassination attempt,” said the source.

However, another source who spoke to this publication said that Sithole should stop pointing fingers at other people as his juju was backfiring on him.

“Sithole should not accuse other people of trying to assassinate him. Sithole is the godfather of juju in Bulawayo and his juju is now backfiring on him. He should visit his sangomas so that he can be told the correct use of his juju instead of fabricating stories of an assassination attempt. Again, Sithole has no driver’s licence and is a reckless driver,” said the source.

Meanwhile, Sithole has already been discharged from hospital and his condition is stable. However, the wreckage of his parliamentary vehicle is still at Vehicle Inspectorate Department (VID) in Kwekwe.
