Latest development in the ‘sickness’ of incarcerated Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) interim vice chairperson, Job Sikhala has revealed that it was stress-related due to his wife’s sexual shenanigans.

According to a source at Chikurubi Maximum Prison, where Sikhala has been in remand until his case is concluded, said doctors who examined him revealed that his ailment was stress-related.

The source added that Sikhala’s sickness began soon after discovering that his wife, Ellen Sikhala was sexually involved with his aide, Freddy Masarirevhu, whilst he languishes in remand prison.

The infidelity news has mentally disturbed Sikhala and he has refused to meet his wife who has frequently been visiting Sikhala during his incarceration.

The source added that Sikhala has since delegated his co-accused, Chitungwiza North legislator, Godfrey Sithole to meet his wife whenever she visits. The duo of Sikhala and Kurauone are reported to be protecting Sikhala from his wife.

“Sikhala has learnt of his wife’s infidelity and the news has greatly disturbed him. Since then, his health has not been perfect and doctors have since prescribed a medication to stabilise his blood pressure that has reached abnormal levels. Sikhala has refused to meet his wife and has delegated Kurauone to interact with Ellen whenever she comes to visit,” said the source.

The source added that the love affair between Sikhala and Masarirevhu started long back due to Sikhala’s history of denying his wife her conjugal rights opting to sexually relate with several married women in his constituency.

The same source further claimed that the news of Sikhala being poisoned in prison was all fake as it was known within prison circles that he was mentally upset by his wife’s behaviour.

Efforts to get a comment from Sikhala’s wife were futile as she refused to speak Harare Post reporters.
