Minister Muchinguri also said despite Mliswa’s claims being outlandish and unfounded, the Second Republic does not tolerate criminality of any kind.
“Outlandish and unfounded allegations that funds are being siphoned from Rusununguko-Nkululeko are nothing but bar-talk! The Second Republic does not tolerate criminality of any form,” said the Minister.
Contrary to claims by Mliswa, President Mnangagwa recently announced an array of on-going projects that government is currently seized with in order to cushion and improve soldiers’ lives. Amongst these measures is the upgrade of Manyame hospital to a referral hospital in order to allow all army personnel access proper and affordable health services.
Furthermore, Government has reinstated the Military Salary Concept and has promised to add more buses to the current ZDF fleet in order to ease the transport woes. In the same vein, Government is busy working to improve the accommodation situation for the ZDF through the construction of housing units for its members across the country. So far, the ZDF Construction Regiment has completed 60 housing units in Dzivarasekwa, with an additional 90 at various stages of completion. At Imbizo Barracks, 30 out of the 44 blocks of units are under construction and are expected to be complete by year end.
