A section of Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) members have blamed that party’s leader, Nelson Chamisa, for failure to provide a reliable vehicle for use to his co-deputy, Lynnette Karenyi Kore, who was involved in a road accident yesterday.
A source who spoke to this publication said that although Kore’s Honda Fit vehicle hit a stray beast, some CCC members blamed Chamisa for not providing a vehicle that suits the status of that party’s vice president.
“Our vice president Karenyi Kore was involved in an accident yesterday when she was driving from Bikita on party business. We were surprised that she was driving a Honda Fit, a small car that doesn’t fit the status of a vice president. We heard that her request for a more reliable and big vehicle for use on party business was declined by Chamisa,” said the source.
The source further blamed the CCC leader for failure to provide an experienced driver and security for Kore.
“In CCC, it’s all about Chamisa. It’s surprising that a party vice president doesn’t have an experienced driver and security. Chamisa himself has drivers and several security personnel but he doesn’t provide the same for his deputies. He should urgently address this anomaly,” said the source.
The same source also blamed Kore for over speeding and urged her to exercise caution when driving on public roads.
“I heard that she (Kore) was over speeding. I urge her to exercise caution while on the roads. We don’t want to end up blaming non-existent evil spirits or enemies for accidents that could easily be avoided,” added the source.
Commenting on her accident without shedding much light, Kore said that she was grateful that she survived the accident.
“Life is precious. Yesterday, I said I was fine. By the end of the day, I was in a car accident with a cow. Lord, my life is in your hands,” said Kore.
Meanwhile, there are reports that Kore’s meeting in Bikita South dismally flopped after a paltry crowd gathered to be addressed by her.
