Self-exiled former ZANU PF politburo member, Professor Jonathan Moyo has been described as a bitter man who is desperately making up stories in order to remain politically relevant in the country.
This follows Moyo’s tweet in which he promised to upload the so-called unimpeachable evidence that President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his wife Amai Auxillia, are involved in money laundering and gold smuggling in Zimbabwe.
Twitter user Hosia Mviringi said people should take whatever comes from Moyo with a pinch of salt as he was still angry with his ouster from ZANU PF.
“Moyo is a bitter man and he is still angry with how he was ousted from ZANU PF. He is now on a mission to smear the President so that he will lose dignity among the people. I only urge Zimbabweans to take whatever comes from Moyo with a pinch of salt as the guy is a rubble rouser who speacilises in creating chaos among the people,” said Mviringi.
David Muchuchu said Moyo was “all froth but no beer” and said that only conflicted people like Moyo would think that the First Family is involved in money laundering and smuggling.
Letty Mabhena said that Moyo’s sentiments about President Mnangagwa can be summed up by what Norton legislator Temba Mliswa tweeted in September 2019.
“For as long as Moyo comments on President Mnangagwa and ZANU PF, no one will take him seriously. He is a conflicted man touted as the brains behind G40 and therefore an interested party. He is emotional and his utterances need a pinch of salt.”
Another tweeter user who goes by the name @MunhuMutapa said Moyo should just accept that he was now out of the system and should therefore not spend time speaking evil of President Mnangagwa as that will not help his situation.
@MunhuMutapa further said that with the way President Mnangagwa was fighting corruption, it would be unfair to allege that he was involved in shoddy deals.
Since his ouster from Government in 2017, Moyo has been on a smear campaign of President Mnangagwa with hopes that he will lose popularity among the people.
