Citizens across the country have applauded the Army and the Police force for promptly and decisively dealing with armed terrorists who killed and wounded in cold blood members of the Zimbabwe National Army who were on duty, in Chivhu, The Harare Post can report.
Speaking to this publication, one Tedius Magorimbo of Sadza District praised the speed at which the army and the police managed to account for the killers.
“My brother, we have no tears for the two terrorists that killed and injured members of the security forces. They dug their own grave.
“We cannot allow a situation where civilians want to sow seeds of discontent among our peace loving Zimbabweans, through their actions,” said Magorimbo.
A shop keeper said, “When the criminals fired a shot that killed the Army officer, the sound was a terrifying. We are just happy to know that the law enforcement officers have removed the bad apples from among us before it could poison our youths with toxic mind-sets, said the shop keeper who refused to be identified.
Meanwhile, the U.S. has districts that still hold a death penalty for law enforcement killers, as it understands all too well that if someone is willing to intentionally target and kill law enforcement officers, they would likely target anyone, making them among the most dangerous individuals walking free on the streets of the nation today.
“When you shoot a police officer, we’re going to pursue the death penalty,” Lee County District Attorney Brandon Hughes reportedly said at a news conference announcing the charges against the Alabama suspect.
The President and Commander in Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, His Excellency ED Mnangagwa has condemned any attacks to any member of the security establishment, disarming and unlawfully taking arms of war in their possession.
Closer to home, South Africa has a ‘shoot first and ask questions later policy’, when an encounter ensues between law enforcement officers and terrorists.
