A United Kingdom-based Zimbabwean human rights activist and entrepreneur Grace Sinikiwe Mupfurutsa has alleged that Hopewell Chin’ono is a rapist and a fraudster who is very deceptive in character.
Mupfurutsa said this recently during her Facebook live interaction with her followers.
“Hopewell Chin’ono is very deceptive. He is a liar and a dishonest person who only want things that are to his advantage,” said Mupfurutsa.
Mupfurutsa further said that Chin’ono changed his name from Hopewell Makusha to Hopewell Chin’ono in a bid to cover his criminal tracks.
According to Mupfurutsa, Chin’ono committed a lot of credit cards fraud during his stay in the UK and he had to change his surname to Chin’ono in order to evade arrest.
Mupfurutsa who claimed to have grown up together with Chin’ono further insinuated that Chin’ono used money he got from cloning people’s cards to buy a house in Highlands, Harare.
Mupfurutsa also insinuated that a lot of women were sexually abused at Chin’ono’s residence after being drugged.
“Chin’ono’s residence in Highlands resembles a sex haven. I personally know of several women who have been invited by Chin’ono to his house but were later drugged and sexually abused. Some of them tried to report the abuse cases to the police, but the cases were swept under the carpet because Chin’ono had some connections within the police,” said Mupfurutsa.
Mupfurutsa lambasted Chin’ono for calling himself @daddyhope on Twitter while having no wife or kids.
“Its ironic that Chin’ono call himself @daddyhope but he is not a dad to anyone. He doesn’t have a wife or kids. He want to present himself as a role model, but in truth he is a psychopath who is paid to denounce his country,” added Mupfurutsa.
According to Mupfurutsa, Chin’ono cannot speak about corruption because he himself is corrupt.
Mupfurutsa said Chin’ono was exaggerating the seriousness of corruption in the country in a bid to cause the interference of other countries into the internal affairs of Zimbabwe.
Chin’ono, together with Transform Zimbabwe president Jacob Ngarivhume, were arrested last month for inciting people to revolt against the Government. The duo are still in remand prison awaiting a trial date.
