Zimbabwe Covid-19 lockdown measures are above board and should be adhered to just like they are being enforced by security officers in other countries, the Harare Post can report.

Recently, Australia arrested two men for planning anti-lockdown demonstrations a move the security officers saw as a breach of Covid-19 restrictions.

Australian SBS News said the two men accused of planning an anti-lockdown protest in Melbourne had their homes raided and were apprehended.

The Australian Police vowed to crack down on the protests which were planned by these two in Melbourne's CBD on Sunday and called the protest a “blatant breach” of COVID-19 restrictions.

Among things taken by Officers from the duo were phones and a computer,  The two men, both aged 41, Mooroolbark and Chirnside Park were charged with incitement and will soon have their day in court.

Calls for protests appeared on Facebook calling on people to participate in protests to disobey the city's six-week shutdown.

Similarly in Zimbabwe a duo was arrested for inciting the public to demonstrate during Covid-19 regulations. After the arrest of the two men, Hopewell Chin’ono and Jacob Ngarivhume, the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Senator Monica Mutsvangwa, pronounced that the arrest was for inciting public violence meant to overthrow a constitutionally elected Government, at a time when the country was overshadowed by the deadly Covid-19 pandemic.

In Zimbabwe the security services continue to be strict, vetting the public on road blocks with motorists being turned back home if they fail to show genuine proof for being in the city centres, in order to enforce Covid-19 lockdown measures, the Harare Post can report.
