President Emmerson Mnangagwa has been deeply saddened by the untimely death of ZANU PF Politburo member, Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Water and Rural Resettlement, Air Chief Marshall (Rtd) Perrance Shiri, the Harare Post can report.
On his twitter handle, the President tweeted, “I am deeply saddened to inform the Nation of the death of the Minister of Agriculture, Air Chief Marshall (rtd) Perrance Shiri, a long time friend and colleague. Cde Shiri was a true patriot, who devoted his life to the liberation, independence and service of his country. May he Rest in Peace.”
ZANU PF Against Sanctions, on its twitter handle tweeted, “A dark cloud has befallen us as the nation is plunged in deep mourning at the sad and untimely passing on of ZANU PF Politburo member and Minister of Agriculture, Air Chief Marshall (rtd) Perrance Shiri. May his Dearest Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.”
Netizen, Nyarai Nyamakope tweeted, “The untimely death of Minister of Lands, Agriculture and Rural Resettlement, Air Chief Marshall Perrance Shiri is a great loss to the entire nation. He has been a hard worker throughout his entire service in the Government. May the dear Lord receive his soul.”
Condolences for the late Minister Shiri continue to pour in from many quarters in Zimbabwe.
