Tsenengamu in cattle rustling storm

Former ZANU PF Youth League National Political Commissar, Godfrey Tsenengamu stole, a herd of cattle belonging to ZANU PF, which he allegedly used to pay lobola for one of his wives, sources said.

Tsenengamu, a polygamist, is also the leader of the Front for Economic Emancipation in Zimbabwe (FEEZ) which he also termed Green Revolution.

Tsenengamu, who was the first ZANU PF member to be expelled under the New Dispensation in March, was once shown the exit door during the late former President Mugabe’s reign in 2015 for attacking the party leadership on social media as well abusing party resources.

A well-placed source within ZANU PF revealed that Tsenengamu has a pending cattle rustling case and was facing imminent arrest.

“He stole cattle belonging to ZANU PF and used the same to pay his lobola just before Operation Restore Legacy.

“Tsenengamu was only served by the operation. If it wasn’t that, he should be in jail by now,” said the source.

Commenting on the issue, ZANU PF Director of Information, Tafadzwa Mugwadi said Tsenengamu could do anything for money.

“Yes Tsenengamu is facing cattle rustling allegations. He is always after fortune seeking gimmicks. He loses his conscience when he sees 30 pieces of silver. He is given to money and that is why he was expelled from the Party,” Mugwadi said.

To date, Tsenengamu has continued as a renegade as witnessed by his stance against the ruling party, its ideologies and leadership, masquerading as a corruption fighter.

His ranting behaviour has made him one of the chief instigators and organisers of the 31 July, illegal demonstration which, a few days ago, led to the lawful arrest of political activitst, Hopewell Ching’ono and Jacob Ngarivhume, the Transform Zimbabwe leader.

Tsenengamu has since termed the illegal 31 July demo, “mother of all demos”

The ZANU PF Youth League warned Tsenengamu on several occasions to stop his attention seeking behaviour of denigrating the Party, Government, its programs and leadership including President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
