MDC tarnishing the country’s image

MDC’s desperate attempt to shift attention from its disconcerting party circus that is threatening to split it into a million pieces has staged another fake abduction featuring MDC legislator Joana Mamombe, youth assembly vice-chairperson Cecilia Chinembiri and Netsai Marova.

Speaking to this publication on conditions of anonymity, one MDC official revealed that the MDC decided to use women in their fake abductions in order to stir up the emotions of women organisations’ attention including Embassies.

“The MDC is now really desperately looking for attention from Embassies, NGOs, radio and TV stations whom they think are on their side by sending fliers.  During a privately held meeting the MDC officials decided to justify the forthcoming protests which they are planning nationwide by agreeing that its war time and therefore justifiable that they hold protests,” revealed the source.

Furthermore the source went on to expose plans by the MDC youths and the women’s assembly in Harare to mobilise people for a march where they will be calling for the return of the missing MDC trio, with the hope of spreading the marches across the country.

According to the source, the MDC intends to gain the international community’s sympathy and ensure continued financial support for the party, while tarnishing ZANU PF image and tightening the screws to ensure Government does not receive financial relief from the international finance institutions.

“The use of the three women was a suggestion proffered by Professor Jonathan Moyo, and he assured the MDC that the move would draw headlines of abductions in Zimbabwe across the international community. They want the international community to have all eyes on Zimbabwe and to blame the ruling Government for being abusive to the opposition and human rights.

“I can reliably inform you that the MDC is receiving funding from certain women’s organisations (names provided) in Zimbabwe so as to assist with asylums like what they did with Dr Peter Magombeyi and others. They are also getting funding from MDC members in the UK, the USA and South Africa to organise disturbance activities,” he said.

Lawyer Tinomudaishe Chinyoka tweeted, “How was it a flash demonstration ready with posters? This thing was planned precisely so that at the end, it would be claimed that these 3 disappeared. Why would the police arrest only the 3 women? Matakanana okusvibisa nyika yedu awandisa. We need a law against faking abductions,” he said.

MDC has been faking abductions for quite some time, with Dr Magombeyi, comedian Samantha Kureya popularly known as Gonyeti claiming to have been abducted.  These fake abductions have received so much attention from the international community which have a hidden agenda to install a puppet regime in place of the people’s choice. UK in Zimbabwe, EU and USA Embassy in Zimbawe have taken to their twitter handles accusing the Zimbabwean Government of abusing Human rights based on stage managed abductions.
