Chamisa might single-handedly fight the war

MDC leader Nelson Chamisa might be left with no support as his fellow MPs are on an exodus, en-route to MDC T.

The Harare Post has been reliably informed by a high ranking MDC official that Chamisa no longer trusts anyone in the party as most seem to be turning their backs on him in favour of the legitimate MDC T party.

Source revealed that MDC MPs are sending envoys to the MDC T requesting to join them, with MDC A deputy national chairperson, Job Wiwa Sikhala being one of them.

“Over 25 emissaries and overtures from the MDC MPs have been sent to MDC T leader Thokozani Khupe pledging to join her side. The MPs feel used after they had been called to disengage from Parliament by their leaders. They became aware of how selfish and heartless their MDC leadership is.

“Surprisingly, Sikhala also sent an emissary to Khupe begging her to finish his tenure in office as MP and that he desperately wants to be reinstated. However no one believes in anything Sikhala says. He is a classic case of a serial flip-flopper.  At one moment he is swearing his unwavering allegiance to Chamisa, then at the blink of an eye he opposes Chamisa. So I doubt that he will be pardoned by Khupe,” said the source.

Some of the MPs are already sending contributions to MDC T towards the Extra Ordinary Congress that is due to take place anytime soon.

Four MDC-T Members of Parliament were recalled from the August House after the Supreme Court ruling said the MDC was illegitimate and they were recalled on the grounds that they had ceased representing the opposition party’s interests, with Job Sikhala being part of the four. A few days later Sikhala came out saying that all MDC Alliance MPs should suspend participation in Parliament and disengage from all platforms in which the party has to interact with Zanu PF pending consultations with the relevant constituencies of the party.
