Minister breathes fire on corruption

Minister of Home Affairs, Hon Kazembe Kazembe during a familiarisation tour at the passport production office in Harare yesterday cautioned officials against corrupt practices.

Addressing the workforce after completing the familiarisation tour at the passport production facility, the Minister breathed fire calling on those involved in corruption that they would soon be apprehended by the law.

 “If there is anyone who is indulging in corrupt activities, the long arm of the law will catch up with him/her”, said the Minister.

The Minister also pleaded with the media fraternity and the public at large to report any cases of corruption witnessed anywhere within his jurisdiction.

Minister Kazembe Kazembe applauded the passport production workforce for the hard work they display regardless of the prevailing challenges. He promised the workforce at the passport production office that Government is going to do its best to avail the much required passport consumables in order to clear the passport production backlog.

The Minister’s familiarisation tour at the passport office reflects how serious Government intends to improve its operations. The New Dispensation is working tirelessly to address all matters affecting efficient service delivery to its citizens. Corruption has no space in the New Republic, and the long arm of the law will reach out without fear or favour to would be offenders.
