Vice President Kembo Mohadi restated that Government will not tolerate corruption at all cost from members of the security sector, Harare Post reports.

Speaking during the pass out parade of 497 Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services (ZPCS) held at Ntabazinduna today, VP Mohadi expressed that members of the security sectors should shun corruption and abide by the regulations guiding Zimbabwe.

“The country is going through economic hardships due to the economic sanctions imposed by the Western Regimes. As law enforcement agents, you should be in a position to shun corruption at all cost. When it comes to corruption, Government knows no sacred cows,” the VP said.

During the same address, he opined that members of the security sector should also be trained in entrepreneur skills to meet the rising cost of living.

“Officers should be equipped in other skills which should help them in finding other sources of income so that they complement the salaries they get from Government. We also expect them to uphold Government policies which are designed to turn around the derailing economy,” said VP Mohadi.

VP Mohadi applauded the ZPCS for an inclusive recruitment which is balanced in all provinces and the hard work being endured by ZPCS officers amid the economic challenges.
