To many people, trolls are the scourge of the Internet. Hiding behind a cloud of anonymity, they post horrendous comments that hurt, offend, and even defame people.
Abuse of social media is on the rise in Zimbabwe. For instance, there is a shadowy group, Team Pachedu on Twitter which is trolling social media users and also peddling falsehoods. The account is suspected to be run by Freeman Chari (a known MDC apologist), Wes Beal and Jefrey Smiths (VanGuard Africa) among others.
