The Minister of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises, Cde Stembiso Nyoni condemned the abuse of women and girls by those who claim to be men of cloth.

In telephone interview with Harare Post, the Minister had no kind words for men who abuse women and girls when they seek divine intervention in whatever church.

In reference to the Magaya saga which appeared in the Sunday Mail, she said those girls and women should report to the relevant Government structures.

"Government is well structured that every citizen can have appropriate help," she said.

She said her ministry was carefully following up the matter with a view to coming up with a statement in due course.

She said Justice should be seen to take place when perpetrators are found at the wrong side of the law.

“The long arm of the law will catch up with those abusing authority bestowed on them," she said.

She urged women organisations to stand up for the rights of girls and women who are suffering innocently.
