Liberation movements should move away from the era of politicking and be proactive to deal with economic issues affecting the people.
Bidding farewell to Speaker of Parliament, Advocate Jacob Mudenda at Parliament today, the outgoing Ambassador, Pedro Hendrik Vaal Neto said liberation movements should move away from politics and concentrate on economic issues.
The ambassador said he enjoyed working in Zimbabwe.
The ambassador said liberation movements should move away from politicking but centre energies on economics.
He said he was happy that President Emmerson Mnangagwa was walking the talk.
The ambassador he discussed on bilateral relations between Zimbabwe and Angola with Advocate Mundenda.
Advocate Mudenda said he was worried about the slow implementation of Joint Commissions between the two countries.
"The Joint Commissions amounting to 35 are just idle," said Mudenda.
Speaking to journalists, the speaker said "the deliberations were very good and enjoyable and we discussed possible ways of promoting the parliamentary relations between Zimbabwe and Angola."
“We also discussed how we can work together to promote on economic relations," he said.
Speaking to journalists, Ambassador Neto said he would relay the message to his Principal, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço.
