President Emmerson Mnangagwa this afternoon will swear in the newly appointed minister of State for Harare Metropolitan Provincial Affairs, Senator Oliver Chidawu.
Senator Chidawu was appointed as the Harare Metropolitan provincial minister on 1 March 2019.
Senator Chidawu is a Zimbabwean entrepreneur, Chartered Engineer, Chairman of African Banking Corporation Zimbabwe, Non-executive chairman of Manders Group and founder of Kuchi Group of Companies.
Senator Chidawu served as Mayor of Harare between 1984 and 1985 at the age of 29 becoming the youngest mayor in the history of Harare. He is also on the board of Bindura Nickel Corp. Ltd.
In his past career, Senator Chidawu was Director at Star Africa Corp, Chairman at Pelhams Ltd, Chairman at Zimplow Ltd and Group Chairman at ABC Holdings Ltd.
