President calls for dialogue

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has called for a national dialogue with all political parties as well as civic leaders. He revealed this when he touched down at Robert Mugabe International airport yesterday evening.

President Mnangagwa had a successful trip to the Euro- Asian where several economic deals were inked in the areas of engineering and tourism among others.

"I invite leaders of all political parties as well as religious and civil leaders to set aside our differences and come together."  President Mnangagwa said adding that "what unites us is stronger than what could ever divide us. Let's begin a national dialogue. Let's put the economy first. Let’s put the people first."

Jones Musara on his twitter page said, “In terms of national challenge, a real national leader calls for National Dialogue not shutdown. Dialogue is peaceful and builds. Shutdown is violent and destroys.”

President has been preaching peace since he came into power in 2107. After the 1 August violence, he instituted a commission of inquiry to prove he is a man with clean hands.

The ruling party insists that President Mnangagwa would be keen to talk to Nelson Chamisa only after he recognizes him as the country’s legitimate President.
