Zimbabwe’s Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Professor Mthuli Ncube has successfully engaged the international community on realigning the country with international monetary funding.
Recently the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Christine Lagarde, on her twitter account said she had discussed with Zimbabwe’s Minister of Finance and Economic Development on the way forward with Zimbabwe’s economy in line with the global economic developments.
“I was very pleased to meet with Zimbabwe’s Finance Minister, Mthuli Ncube, at the IMF meetings and discussed with him the country’s economy and global economic developments,” she said.
The Finance Minister also said he was making efforts on the international market to ensure that the country engages the international community.
“As Government we are making concerted efforts to retool our industries, accelerate international re-engagement, unlock new capital flows and facilitate investment that will make strides toward our shared national goal,” said Minister Ncube.
Harare Post has learnt that Government is concerned about the welfare of its citizens.
“The shared goal of our nation is to rebuild with a stronger and inclusive economy and improved livelihood for all Zimbabweans,” said the Minister on his twitter handle.
