Mthwakazi Republic Party (MRP) has formed a student association representative board ahead of National University of Science and Technology (NUST) elections scheduled for 11 October this year.

The association is to be known as Mthwakazi Student Assoctiation (MTWASA).

Addressing members of MTWASA in Bulawayo on Monday, the association leader, Nkosinathi Sunduzani said the objective of the association was to protect Mthwakazi people against discrimination in tertiary institutions.

He added that MTWASA focused on devolution of power, provision of students association within NUST campus, provision of trained health personnel on campus and also the availability of a newspaper or radio station on campus.

Sunduzani requested for $2 500 dollars from MRP to print t/shirts and posters to use in their October elections campaign.

The interim leadership of the organisation comprises of Sunduzani, Secretary General Lance Moyo, Chairperson Brian Moyo and Organising Secretary Nkosilodumo Ndebele.

The MRP also recently formed a secessionist church which they named Mthwakazi Church of God. The church is designed to whip emotions supporting the party doctrine and ideology among its faithful, an insider has confided to Harare Post. Mthwakazi seeks to establish an exclusive Ndebele state out of Matabeleland, Bulawayo and part of the Midlands Province.

According to word coming from the party members, like the party, the church will only be open to Ndebele people alone.

The Church is expected to launch branches in South Africa where a sizeable number of Ndebele people are. Ndebeles are close cousins of the Zulu tribe and their languages share up to 95 percent of words and phonetic structure.
