Tshabangu to recall more CCC MPs, councillors

A source who spoke to this publication has revealed that Tshabangu was not happy with the way the CCC was being run and believed that some MPs representing CCC were imposed on the electorate by that party’s leader Nelson Chamisa.

“Tshabangu, is not satisfied with the way the CCC is being run and believes that some candidates were imposed on the electorate. Tshabangu is planning to recall more CCC MPs, including Women's Quota Legislator Muchaurawa Mugidho, Chiredzi Ward 6 and 7 councillors Musingashori and Rogers Chikonye respectively. He is on a mission to leave no stone unturned within the party.

“Tshabangu believes that Mugidho, the women’s quarter legislator was used by Chamisa to handpick national assembly and local authority candidates in the district. He is not happy with the competence of Mugidho who was handpicked by Chamisa to represent the party. Tshabangu believes that Mugidho has failed as a cluster leader to submit proportional representation candidate for both Chiredzi Town and Rural District Council," said the source.

Moreover, according to the source, Tshabangu is not going to stop until he removes all of Chamisa's incompetent cadres who were handpicked at the expense of the deserving old guard.

“Tshabangu is also unhappy with the appointment of Makube as Chiredzi Town Council chairperson, saying that he was handpicked at the expense of the old guard namely, Gibson Hwende and John Maganye. He was unhappy with Chikonye who he says was handpicked as Chiredzi Town Council Chairperson on nepotistic grounds as they both hail from the same village in Gutu," said the source.

To date Sengezo Tshabangu has recalled a total of 69 CCC councillors.
