ZRP urged to put an end to CCC’s blood orgy

Responding to a video that has gone viral on Twitter where a multitude of  CCC supporters take turns to savagely assault a defenceless man with feasts, kicks and empty bottles, political commentator Patrick Manyemwe said ZRP should intervene without delay and stop these predators from causing further harm to the citizens of the country.

“This is the fourth time that we are seeing videos of men and women wearing CCC branded t-shirts physically and violently attacking either ZANU PF members or members of the media. ZRP should intervene and stop this blood orgy by CCC,” said Manyemwe.

Manyemwe also said equally disturbing was CCC’s tactic of exposing minors to violence at their rallies. He said this was not only traumatic to the minors but the intention was for CCC to use the minors as human shields whenever law enforcement agencies try to disperse the crowds.

“Equally disturbing is the tactic of inviting minors for CCC rallies where the opposition unleashes violent orgies on assumed enemies. This exposes minors to traumatic violent scenes. Equally disturbing is the purpose of the minors in the opposition party when police engage them. Their purpose is to use minors as human shields so as to discourage law enforcement agents from engaging,” he said.

In a space of just four months, CCC has been involved in violent attacks on defenceless individuals. In June they demolished and burnt down a house belonging to a ZANU PF chairman in Nyatsime.

Recently that party’s security harassed and humiliated a journalist, Ruvimbo Muchenje for allegedly taking a photo during her media coverage.

Less than a week ago, CCC supporters in Chitungwiza were at it again, burning tyres on the roads in an attempt to unlawfully arm-twist the courts into releasing jailed CCC legislator, Job Sikhala. The later was remanded in custody on charges of inciting violence that took place in Nyatsime back in June.
