ZANU PF is a solid Party: Kasukuwere told

Speaking to this publication, political analyst, Terrence Chipwanya reminded Kasukuwere that ZANU PF leaders were chosen and not imposed, while indicating that Kasukuwere’s election game plan was ill-thought-out, an indication that he has overrated himself.

“Kasukuwere is making the mistake of exaggerating his influence in the country’s political dynamics by miscalculating the influence that other political parties hold especially the ZANU PF Party from which he intends to wrest the position of 1st Secretary from President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

“ZANU PF is a well-structured and organised political party that is protected from external penetration and influence through its internal election processes. How Kasukuwere intends to break that wall beats logic, and exposes his underestimation of the voters,” said Chapwanya.

Another political analyst, Marvis Chirowa reiterated that Kasukuwere’s campaign strategy was ill thought out.

“He is making a mistake by sending proxies to conduct campaigns for him while he remains in the comfort of his residence in South Africa during this cold winter season.

“These proxies have each been directed to mobilise at least 40 voters for Kasukuwere for them to be appointed as conveners in their respective areas,” said Chirowa.

Meanwhile, Kasukuwere has been described as a coward who adopted the name Passenger 34 following his failure to come to Zimbabwe for the submission of his paper at the nomination court despite having purchased his plane ticket. The thought that he might get arrested for his crimes held him back from boarding that flight home.

Furthermore, he preferred to fly over his country on his way to Kenya for the launch of his election Manifesto. Kasukuwere went to Nairobi this week to compare his five pillars with the Kenyan President, William Ruto’s bottom up agenda.
