The event, which brought together teams from various prisons, served as a platform to promote the rehabilitation and reintegration of offenders through sports.
Minister Magomo emphasized the critical role of ZPCS in national development and the rehabilitation of offenders.
"Our nation is built by its own people, and it is essential that everyone, including those currently serving sentences, are given opportunities to reform and contribute positively to our society," he stated.
His address highlighted the Government's commitment to innovative programs that aid in the transformation of offenders into productive citizens.
"The dedication of ZPCS to execute their mandate with excellence is commendable. It is imperative that they continue to nurture environments that facilitate the rehabilitation of individuals, enabling them to rejoin society as contributors to a prosperous Zimbabwe," Minister Magomo added.

Offenders participated in various sports, displaying talent and sportsmanship, much to the appreciation of the enthusiastic crowd.
The event underscored sports as a vital tool for building camaraderie and fostering a sense of community among inmates.
"The success of today’s event is a testament to the power of sports in transforming lives. Through such activities, we not only rehabilitate but also reintegrate individuals, helping them to build the discipline and teamwork necessary for their future roles in society," explained Minister Magomo.
