The Clerk of Parliament, Kennedy Chokuda, has informed the nation that the swearing-in of members of the 10th Parliament of Zimbabwe is set for tomorrow.
In a statement, Chokuda said the event would take place at the Parliament Building.
"Parliament of Zimbabwe wishes to advise all duly elected Honourable Members of the National Assembly and the Senate of the 10th Parliament, the media fraternity, stakeholders, and the nation at large that the swearing-in of incoming Members of Parliament is scheduled for Thursday, September 7, 2023.
Chokuda indicated the hotels that would accommodate the Members of Parliament, which are the Crown Plaza Monomotapa Hotel, Rainbow Towers, and Ambassador Pandhari Lodge.
Meanwhile, the Harmonised General Elections were held on August 28, 2023. The constitution of Zimbabwe stipulates that members of parliament must be sworn in not later than 30 days after the president has been sworn in.
