President Emmerson Mnangagwa reitetrated during a rally in Lupane, Matebeleland North on Fiday that the New Dispensation was open for business and engagement as well as re-engagement.

 “We want jobs in the country and we know that for development of the economy, we must plan sector by sector such as agriculture, mining and infrastructure development,” said President Mnangagwa.

The President said that the vast resources in the country would attract many investors.

 “There is no province that does not have resources,” he said and went on to cite coal, gold, and diamonds as the resources that are found in Matabeleland North. He revealed that Matabeleland North had the largest reserves of methane gas in the country.

The President said that the New Dispensation was in the process of reviving the mining industries and he cited Hwange Colliery expansion which he said would create 3000 jobs for the youth.

He also said that the plans to dualise Beitbridge-Bulawayo-Victoria Falls highway would also create jobs for the youths.

He called for peaceful and no-violent elections, saiying that Zanu PF would win the elections peacefully and rule the country peacefully.

President Mnangagwa urged supporters to welcome the electoral observers who are in the country.

“We have election observers in the country, they should feel at home, feel accepted, and as a big party, we don’t want you to trouble them and even all  the other smaller parties,” he said.

President Mnangagwa denounced the MDC Alliance demonstrations saying that Zanu PF would not lose sleep over the demonstrations. He added that the demonstrations did not vote. He assured Zanu PF supporters at the rally that victory was certain.
