Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare, Honourable Sekai Nzenza has dismissed claims on social media that she is in hiding following the arrest of Tourism and Hospitality Industry minister, Prisca Mupfumira.
Honourable Nzenza has said this during a press conference today in Harare.
She said that apart from working for the Government, she also had a responsibility to ensure that she was accountable to the President and the people in her constituency.
Minister Nzenza said that when all the malicious stories about her were circulating on social media, she was in Chikomba district (her constituency) attending to the needs of the people in her constituency.
"I have a responsibility to ensure that Iam accountable to the President and the people. As far as I know, I have absolutely nothing to hide. I am here to serve the people.
"The reports on social media that I was in hiding are nonsensical. When those malicious reports were spread on social media, I was in my constituency in Chikomba district responding to the needs of the people in my constituency," said the Minister.
Meanwhile, Honourable Nzenza revealed that NSSA's role is to safeguard the interests of those who entrusted NSSA with their subscriptions.
She added that her ministry's role is in line with President Emmerson Mnangagwa's vision which focuses on the mandate of practising efficiency, transparency and accountability of good corporate governance.
Minister Nzenza stated that the Forensic Audit report which she talked about on 22 March this year is now complete and is in the hands of lawyers who are working on it.
She said once a team of lawyers was done with the report, she will present it to the public.
