Zimra urges tax payers to remain compliant

Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) will be in Masvingo Province from 25-27 March 2019 where it will be exhibiting its services.

On its Facebook Page, the Authority said its exhibition shall be held from 25-27 March 2019 in Masvingo at the Civic Centre Gardens where it would be calling for tax payers to remain tax compliant.  

“The exhibition is meant to provide assistance in registering to get a Tax Clearance Certificate and to answer all questions related to taxes asked during this period.

“Taxes and duties are a source of increasing investment for income generation, ZIMRA administers various tax incentives aimed at increasing the country’s investment for income generation, export promotion, employment creation and industrial development,” said the tax Authority. 

ZIMRA administers various tax incentives aimed at promoting investment while the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Industrial Development Corporation and the Zimbabwe Investment Authority are the main administrators of non-tax incentives. Revenue incentives in Zimbabwe apply equally to both domestic and foreign investors and the major goals of incentives in place are; income generation, export promotion, employment creation and skills transfer, small business development, industrial development and revenue inflows.
