Founder and Executive Chairman of Alpha Holdings Zimbabwe, Trevor Ncube has described President Emmerson Mnangagwa as a tolerant leader.
Speaking today at State House where President was for the first time meeting members of Presidential Advisory Committee (PAC), Ncube said the media should be partial in its reportage.
“The media has to stop being activists and work to build the country,” Ncube said.
Ncube said Zimbabwe is polarized and he hopes to build a media that contribute to national unity.
“My appointment to PAC is a testimony of President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s tolerance and it’s an honour to serve in my country,” said Ncube.
He added that he accepted the appointment because he does not want to sit on the sidelines when he can play a role for the benefit of his country.
“I accepted to be in the Advisory role for the benefit of future generation including my child,” he said.
He said his inclusion in the Advisory Board signified tolerance.
PAC members were appointed by the President based on experience, expertise, leadership, conducts and standing in society. They should be non-partisan and will serve at the pleasure of the President. Unless indicated otherwise or through voluntary resignation.
PAC is to serve as the President’s sounding board on key economic reforms, issues and initiatives in line with President’s Zimbabwe’s Open for Business and dialogue mantra and also within the policing framework of the Transitional Stabilization Programme as our Government need well canvassed ideas, proposals and strategies to realize Vision 2030.
