Zanu PF MP for Zvimba West constituency who is also Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, Cde Ziyambi Ziyambi held his victory celebrations at Zowa, Ward 27 during the weekend.
More than 3 000 people attended the celebrations which were also graced by Ministers Prisca Mupfumira and Mary Mliswa as well as several House of Assembly members from Mashonaland West Province.
Speaking during the celebrations, Honourable Ziyambi said he was pleased with the victory although the election was not easy.
"Today we are gathered to celebrate the victory of ZANU-PF and I have come back to you, the people who voted to celebrate with you as you have supported me. The election was not easy as you know but I am happy that you also voted resoundingly for (Emmerson) Mnangagwa. He had more votes than those of former President Robert Mugabe`s 2013 harmonised election results, despite that it was his home-ground. President Mnangagwa actually got 5 000 more votes than formers President Mugabe`s.
“Thank you all for your continued support and trust in me. Let us all unite and work hard for the good of our party,” he said.
Minister Mupfumira highlighted that her ministry has plans to set up fishery projects at Biri dam in the constituency where youths and women will benefit. She also said the ministry was planning to carryout training programmes on recycling management to people from the province
Prior to the constituency celebrations, Honourable Ziyambi sponsored various ward based celebrations where the people celebrated Zanu PF and his victory.
