The well choreographed chaos that spread across major towns and to some remote business centres, had nothing to do with the increase of fuel prices but was used as a smokescreen by regime change agenda proponents.
There is no doubt of an MDC-Alliance hand in all the mayhem as it followed their usual script of youths going on a rampage ,unleashing violence, looting shops and destroying property on the pretext of demonstrating.
The attempt to camouflage their evil plot as a "stay away" was betrayed by their merchants of violence who went on a looting spree while at the same time unleashing violence targeting law abiding innocent citizens going about their business.
Where did they get the supply of tyres that they burnt all over the city especially in western suburbs leaving many to wonder where they got them on short notice leaving fair minded Zimbabweans questioning the motive behind the demos.
Information filtering is that there were trucks going around the western suburbs plying youths with alcohol in order for them to have the courage to engage in criminal activities. And these so-called demonstrators had a list of targets within the business sector as well as individual residents showing the violence was planned well in advance.
Zimbabwean had largely ignored the stay-away and the rowdy youths had to force people to close shop, which resulted in loss of business, with the country losing millions of dollars.
Social media was awash with pictures on Monday showing the mobsters looting shops and burning property across the country. In Harare, Bulawayo and Gweru clips were showing people looting at various branches of Choppies Supermarket and other boutique selling clothes.
The youths went as far as destroying police stations and tollgates, which all goes to show their nefarious motive which boarded on criminality as some youths made makeshift toll gates where they demanded "passage money" from commuting public.
After all is said and done, it was evident that the purpose was regime change agenda. The Zanu PF led government has religiously adhered to the constitution by holding elections after every five year as stipulated by the constitution.
For the proponents of the regime change agenda to assume that they are going to get into power through unorthodox means remains a pipe dream.
