MDC-Alliance Ward 16 Councillor, Rapeus Sithole together with Alfrod Ngorima went to Maronga Primary in Chipinge and assaulted Shepherd Harare, a teacher at that school.
The duo alleged that he was the odd one out at the school as they claim he was the only supporter of the ruling party. During the process they destroyed his foul run and slaughtered 17 chickens and got away with cash amounting to $620.
While in his house, the duo destroyed the portrait of President Emmerson Mnangagwa and other personal properties.
Meanwhile, MDC-Alliance is left with an egg on its face after investigation by the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission (ZHRC) revealed that alleged political violence purported to have been committed by Zanu PF supporters in Mashonaland Central was stage managed.
According to investigations carried out by the ZHRC carried in Ward 20 of Muzarabani South Constituency and Chawarura village, the allegations of political violence were found to be fictitious.
The officials from ZHRC interviewed traditional leaders, councillors and the alleged victims and gathered that the victims wanted to siphon money from Zimbabwe Heal Trust which housed the alleged victims of the political violence.
The ZHRC found out that the ‘victims’ were disgruntled polling agents of MDC-Alliance who were trying to find other avenues of being paid, after spirited efforts to get their dues hit a brick wall.
Several MDC Alliance agents in the 30 July election were not paid as the party is reportedly dead broke. Some of them are threatening to demonstrate over the non-payment of their dues.
The party is currently canvassing for donations from supporters, both local and diasporas who are donating through eco-cash to fund the costs accrued by the party in the poll petition.
