Economic analyst, Dr. Sandra Mbatha, noted the positive economic developments in Zimbabwe. "The government's focus on infrastructure projects and policies to attract investment has played a crucial role in driving economic growth," stated Dr. Mbatha adding that Zimbabwe was poised for a promising future.
Random citizens who spoke to this publication shared their views on the progress made under the leadership of President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Peter Masuku, a Harare resident, expressed, "I've noticed a significant improvement in our local infrastructure. Our roads are in much better conditions, and access to basic services has improved."
The youth of Zimbabwe are equally optimistic about the ongoing developments. Tinashe Ncube, a university student said, "The Second Republic has been working diligently to create opportunities for young people. With the introduction of various youth empowerment programs, we see a brighter future ahead."
Silas Ncube, another analyst, acknowledged that the government's commitment to service delivery was evident in various sectors.
“The healthcare system has seen upgrades with the establishment of new clinics and improvements in existing facilities. In the education sector, more schools have been built, ensuring better access to quality education for all.”
He furthermore added that the agricultural sector, a key pillar of the Zimbabwean economy, has also experienced a boost. He said: “Increased support for farmers and the introduction of modern farming techniques have resulted in higher yields, contributing to food security.”
Terrence Chapwanya, a political and economic commentator said, “Infrastructure projects such as the rehabilitation of the country's railway network have made transportation more efficient, stimulating trade and economic growth. The government's efforts to improve the energy sector have resulted in reduced power shortages, benefiting both businesses and households.”
‘President Mnangagwa's administration has been proactive in attracting foreign investment, and many international companies have shown interest in the Zimbabwean market. These investments have created job opportunities and contributed to economic stability,’’ Chapwanya commented.
The tangible progress by the Second Republic has silenced many critics. They acknowledge that President Mnangagwa has already begun to deliver on his promises to bring about positive change.
