As the late Cde Dick “Chinx” Chingaira Makoni used to say, “Havakudei Vanhu ava.” He was referring to the self-imposed world monitors, the white supremacists, who are now at it again and playing big brother on the internal affairs of China and sanctioning the Asian state for alleged human rights violations against the Uyghurs in western China's Xinjiang region.
The Chinese have had enough of the bullying white supremacist and have clearly stated that they will not take this lying down and have called on sanctions of their own on a number of western diplomats.
This week, in a United States of America (USA) orchestrated move, meant to weaken and isolate Chinese influence and prolong white supremacists hegemony, the so-called Five Eyes intelligence alliance made up of the USA, the United Kingdom, Australian, Canada and New Zealand slapped several Chinese nationals and companies with sanctions.
The sanctions from the Five Eyes Alliance, include travel bans and freezing of assets, against the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Public Security Bureau; Chen Mingguo, director of the Xinjiang Public Security Bureau; Wang Junzheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region; Wang Mingshan, Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region; and Zhu Hailun, Former Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.
In a statement designed to justify the punitive measures, the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken said that they had "taken this action today in solidarity with our partners in the United Kingdom, Canada, and the European Union. These actions demonstrate our on-going commitment to working multilaterally to advance respect for human rights and shining a light on those in the PRC government and CCP responsible for these atrocities."
The Chinese government, however, quickly recognised the desperate act for what it is: nothing more than a frantic attempt to quell their growing influence which is a threat to white supremacist hegemony on the globe. The Chinese foreign office retaliated with sanctions of their own, representing an end to the times when western nations would bully weaker nations with impunity.
If the West, really cared for human rights as they claim, they would cut all ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Israel and bring the USA to the international criminal court for the many human rights violations they have committed and backed in the Middle East and other places across the world. Alas, the matter is not actually a humanitarian issue, but a power struggle between an emerging power against an abusive one that is fighting to maintain the status quo.
To counter a move that has been described as "maliciously spreading lies and false information, by the Chinese foreign office, China has also slapped several EU officials with restrictions in defence of their sovereignty.
Beijing has sanctioned EU entities including Germany's Mercator Institute for China Studies and a Danish democracy organization. Other individuals to be sanctioned are five members of the EU parliament; Reinhard Butikofer, Michael Gahler, Raphael Glucksmann, Ilhan Kyuchyuk and Miriam Lexmann; EU human rights and security committee members, and Adrian Zenz, a US-based German scholar who has published reports of abuse against minorities in Tibet and Xinjiang.
This back and forth between Beijing, Brussels and Washington is just further proof of how far white supremacists will go to protect what that have claimed to be theirs by divine right for thousands of years. For time in memorial, those who believe that whites are masters of this world and have the right to do as they please with everyone else, have abused every other race for financial gain and they do not wish to give up that right anytime soon.
The human rights excuse is nothing new to us Africans, as it is similar to the one they used when they colonised Africa and raped her of her resources for more than a century. In those days, they claimed to be bringing Christianity and civilisation to our dark continent. Just as they claim they are bringing us human rights today, they will use that to further rape us out of our resources as they did our forefathers using the bible.
China is in a position to fight back and as Africans we can only draw inspiration from how they have stood their ground in the face of the aggressor. If only such puppets like Hopewell Chin’ono, Tendai Biti, Sizani Weza and Nelson Chamisa will heed the words of Cde Chinx, then we can be able to unite and fight the white supremacists and not fraternise with the enemy like they are doing now. “Havakudei ava,” these words will live forever as they are truth.
