UNICEF Zimbabwe, with financial support from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), has launched the “Climate Action for the Last Mile” project aimed at tackling climate change in vulnerable communities. This initiative is unique in its approach, as it involves local children in the co-creation of climate solutions, ensuring their experiences are reflected in the project’s design.

Over the weekend, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) intensified its anti-smuggling operation targeting cross-border buses, aimed at curbing illegal trade and the trafficking of illicit substances. This operation, which spanned key routes often used by cross-border travellers, led to the successful recovery of significant amounts of smuggled goods, including dagga (marijuana) and second-hand clothes.
