The ZANU PF Women’s League continues to drive community empowerment, unveiling ten solar-powered incubators for all provinces as part of its nationwide development initiatives. The incubators, which have a combined capacity of 36,000 eggs, were introduced as part of the ruling party’s commitment to women’s empowerment aimed at achieving economic self-sufficiency.
The unveiling coincided with a Women’s League executive meeting held recently, where leaders highlighted the progress made toward total empowerment and reaffirmed their commitment to Vision 2030—a national blueprint for transforming Zimbabwe into an upper-middle-income economy.
In an interview with the media, ZANU PF Secretary for Women Affairs, Cde Mabel Chinomona, urged provinces to take full advantage of the incubators, emphasizing the importance of self-reliance and productivity.
“Every woman must do something with these incubators. When we talk about Vision 2030, this is what we mean—it is now up to the provinces to make it work,” she said.
She also commended the achievements made under President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s leadership, rubbishing criticism pointed against him when, as a matter of fact, the country has made significant strides in various sectors.
“We all wonder why President Mnangagwa is under attack when he has over-achieved in all sectors of the economy. We must cherish these developments,” she noted.
The meeting also emphasized the importance of discipline, unity, and adherence to the party’s constitution, which are seen as essential for continued progress.
“We cherish the peace prevailing in our country, but indiscipline that has been making headlines must stop. We do not tolerate it. When we trained, we were taught that discipline comes first, and this must be instilled throughout the party structures,” added CdeChinomona.
ZANU PF Women’s League Secretary for Administration, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa, echoed similar sentiments, stressing the need for women to remain united to drive meaningful development.
“We must always be disciplined, this is the foundation of our party. Women must also remain united to foster progress,” she explained.
The ZANU PF Women’s League has been at the forefront of empowerment projects, rolling out initiatives, such as detergent-making training, sewing machine distribution, and poultry projects across the provinces. These efforts align with the government’s “Leaving No One and No Place Behind” mantra, ensuring that development reaches every corner of the country.
With the introduction of the solar-powered incubators, the Women’s League continues to champion economic self-sufficiency and women’s empowerment, reinforcing its role in driving sustainable development at the grassroots level.
