The 2018 harmonised elections won by President Emmerson Mnangagwa continue to be endorsed by several opposition party leaders with the latest endorsement coming from Freezim Congress leader, Joseph Makamba-Busha.
Makamba-Busha speaking in Masvingo said he was satisfied with the electoral process which saw him receiving more votes than PRC leader, Dr Joice Mujuru.
“I am satisfied with the electoral process. I received more votes than Mujuru who had 12 884 whilst I had 17 278,” said Makamba-Busha.
Taking a swipe at the MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa, Makamba-Busha said the MDC Alliance leader was immature and should not have verbally attacked President Mnangagwa during election campaigns.
Makamba-Busha also said, “Chamisa is politically immature to have verbally attacked President Mnangagwa during the campaigns. The stance by MDC Alliance to invite sanctions to Zimbabwe shows that that the party is heartless and does not have people’s interests at heart. In future, the urban populace should condemn such leaders who have caused them much suffering they face now.
“The MDC Alliance leader has double standards. Chamisa pledged construction of spaghetti roads when elected into office whilst he has failed to develop Kuwadzana East Constituency.”
Meanwhile, Harare Post has learnt that NPP National Deputy Secretary for Security, Nkululeko Tshuma has resigned from that party after tendering his resignation to NPP National Secretary General, Gift Nyandoro in Harare following disputes over his non allocation of campaign resources by that party which he says resulted in his loss in Insiza South Constituency.
