“Furthermore, the plant's establishment positions Zimbabwe to house one of Africa's largest steelmaking companies, elevating its stature on the continental industrial stage,”Chapwanya added

Another economist, Sarah Ncube emphasized the synergy between the Manhize project and infrastructure development.

Furthermore, the much anticipated job creation stemming from the plant's operations has been a focal point of applause.

“Nearly 25,000 employment opportunities are expected to be created in the final phase of production.

“The injection of jobs by Dinson-Manhize production plant is set to significantly reduce unemployment concerns as it bolsters household incomes, fostering a positive ripple effect on various sectors,” she said.

Echoing Ncube’s sentiments, economic analyst James Chigumadzi said, "The Dinson-Manhize project stands as a commendable example of how industrial endeavours can serve as engines for job creation, fostering economic inclusivity."

Chigumadzi further underscored the pivotal role the iron and steel plant plays in advancing the mining sector.
