….as aspiring parliamentarians struggle to fund their campaigns

The bankrupt Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) has opted to fund polling agents only, as the party’s aspiring parliamentarians were told to fund their own elections campaigns.
A source who spoke to this publication has revealed that CCC had decided to fund at most US$100 to support polling agents, as that party was financially broke to finance its candidates’ campaigns.
“It is so sad to note that CCC has resorted to pay at most US$100 to the party`s Member of Parliament`s (MP) polling agents allowances because that party is insolvent and aspiring parliamentarians were instructed to source for the own funds. Those well-wishers are no longer willing to donate funds to the party. I understand it is because of CCC`s lack of accountability.
“There is no one to trust in CCC. The leader himself has set a very bad example to the party. He is the biggest crook in the party,” said the source.
Meanwhile, the CCC leader, Nelson Chamisa has been attacked by his party members for receiving and converting campaign funds from the Netherlands Embassy, the Fredrick Ebert-Stiftung (FES) and from Women`s Academy for Leadership and Political Excellence (WALPE) for personal use.
At one time, CCC funder, Fredrick Ebert-Stiftung had to personally pay for a venue in Harare, which that party wanted to use for the induction of their polling agents at the Golden-Conifer in Harare because they could not take any chances with its funding as the event was important.
Additionally, Chamisa is on record of embezzling party funds and he was once quizzed over the GoFundMe funds sourced to buy him an armoured vehicle. As it turned out, Chamisa failed to produce the armored vehicle, as well as evidence that the money was still available, leading to that party`s diaspora members cancelling any future GoFundMe initiatives.
