President Emmerson Mnangagwa has applauded the ZANU PF affiliates organisations for assisting in the mobilisation of voters ahead of the elections slated for 23 August, this year.
Addressing the 369th session of the ZANU PF Politburo yesterday, President Mnangagwa commended the affiliate organisations particularly the Young Women For Economic Development (YW4ED) for organising a rally in Masvingo that brought together first time voters.
“Meanwhile, I am impressed by the mobilization capacity and unity of purpose demonstrated by our Party’s affiliate organisations. I particularly commend the Young Women for Economic Development, Commissariat Department and Masvingo Province for successfully organising the historic rally for first time voters. Such mobilization programmes targeted at first time voters should be cascaded down ward by ward, constituency by constituency, district by district and province by province," said President Mnangagwa.
The President highlighted that ZANU PF would remain resolute in delivering results for the people of Zimbabwe.
He also added that the Party structures and communities must remain resolute, vigilant and assured that ZANU PF would never abandon the people.
"ZANU PF is a Party, from the people, by the people and for the people. We will always stand with the people to guarantee our collective aspiration to remain masters of our destiny," said the President.
Meanwhile, the ZANU PF party is expected to launch its election manifesto in Chipinge next week on a day yet to be announced.
