The ZANU PF Treasurer General, Patrick Chinamasa said that he was impressed by the massive turnout of youths during the Commissariat Department’s Cell Building and Verification Programme.

Posting on his official Twitter Handle, Chinamasa informed on the Cell Building and Verification Programme which was done on 16 February 2023 to March 2023.  He noted that more than 400 youths/students came to voluntarily assist with the programme.

He said, “In Manicaland Province, expected Cells were 10 650 and the Province exceeded this figure and came out with 11 831. As per Commissariat Department directive, we had to write down the 11 831 Cell Registers in triplicates and manually.

“To perform this daunting task for 2 weeks, between 350 and 450 Youths/Students would voluntarily come to the designated venue daily to transcribe and in the majority of cases they came by foot. This renewed my faith in the Youths/Students of our Country.” Chinamasa went on to applaud the youths for displaying such a magnitude of commitment towards the party’s Cell Verification Programme.

“There can be no better commitment to the ideals and ethos of the Liberation Struggle than what I witnessed. I marvelled to see, as I entered the Hall, this mass of Youths/Students sitting quietly at their respective desks writing silently as if in an exam.

“As a form of mobilisation this was unprecedented and deserves our accolades. I undertook that in the forthcoming ZANU PF Electoral Campaign, ways would be found to utilise their abundant energies by drafting them into our Election Campaign Teams,” he said.

The ZANU PF Treasurer General also informed that amongst the Youths/Students, some had not registered as voters and were assisted to do so.

“Youths/Students who came and had not registered as voters were assisted to register. Long live the Youths/Students of Zimbabwe,” said the ZANU PF Treasurer General.
