Pres Mnangagwa commissions Aspindale and Aspire Housing Project

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has today officially commissioned Aspindale and Aspire Heights housing project. The housing development was spearheaded by a private company, Oxford Properties.

The commissioned project comprised of approximately 1000 developed residential stands, a commercial centre and 152 high-end residential apartments currently under construction.

Thousands of people gathered to witness the commissioning ceremony by President Mnangagwa.

During the official commissioning ceremony, President Mnangagwa applauded Oxford Properties for its timeous completion of some of the high end apartments with modern finishes.

"I am impressed with the developement and modern finishes that I saw at these apartments. I am very proud of Oxford Properties. I promised them that if they finish development on the land that they currently have, I will give them more land to develop more low cost housing projects," said President Mnangagwa.

The President further challenged real estate investors and private developers to unlock more funding and venture into low cost but modern housing projects for the country.

President Mnangagwa added that projects such as the Aspindale and Aspire, dovetails with the Second Republic's thrust to deliver houses to the people as espoused in the National Development Strategy 1 (NDS1).

Some of the notable attendees included but not limited to Secretary for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Harare Metropolitain Province Tafadzwa Muguti, Secretary for National Housing and Social Amenities Engineer Joy Makumbe, Minister of National Housing and Social Amenities, Daniel Garwe, and Deputy Minister of National Housing and Social Amenities, Yeukai Simbanegavi.

ZANU PF National Political Commissar Mike Bimha and Politburo Member Omega Hungwe were also in attendence.
