The Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC)’s Mugwazo program has died a natural death due to tribalism and resource constrains.
Speaking to this publication a source within the CCC revealed that Nelson Chamisa’s procrastination to address the candidates’ selection process has led to the collapse of the Mugwazo project.
‘The program was mostly funded by aspiring candidates, such as Charlton Hwende and Thokozani Khupe but because of Chamisa’s uncertainty on the candidate selection process most of these candidates have withdrawn their participation and funding.
“Khupe has been pushing the Mgwazo project in Matebeleland South and she was making inroads, but due to tribalism being fuelled within the CCC she is being victimised,” said the source.
The source further said failure to account for the Diaspora funds meant for the purchase of Nelson Chamisa’s armoured vehicle, has led to the reluctance by the Diaspora community to release further funding for any projects within the CCC.
“Chamisa failed to unveil the armoured vehicle or to account for the USD120 GoFundMe money that had been donated by the Diaspora community, leading to them halting any financial assistance to the CCC party and its leadership, until there is accountability. This has led the party to suffer serious resource constraints,” said the source.
Meanwhile the Chamisa continues in his impasse concerning that party’s elective Congress. This has fomented disagreements in that party leading to deferments and complacency.
