Front for Economic Emancipation in Zimbabwe (FEEZ) Commander in Chief, Godfrey Tsenengamu yesterday said that Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) leader, Nelson Chamisa was a weak and ineffective politician with no political stamina to dethrone ZANU PF from power.
Addressing the media at Number 3 Allen Wilson Road in Harare yesterday, Tsenengamu said he has dumped his initial plans to form an electoral pact with Chamisa after realising that the latter was all froth with no substance.
“Yes, we admit that they are a very strong movement. Chamisa is very likeable, very popular and a good political orator. But we think he is weak somehow, he is ineffective,” said Tsenengamu.
Tsenengamu added that a political party like CCC with a leadership that resorts to tweets and prayers when confronted with challenges will not be able to win state power. He added that he abandoned the idea of working with CCC after realising that it has some shortcomings.
“In our approach we are radical and we discovered that if we worked with Advocate Chamisa we would not achieve our goals,” said Tsenengamu.
Tsenengamu added that he was not afraid of CCC cyber trolls and was ready to dismantle that party’s dominance as an opposition political party. He further claimed that Chamisa should not be the President of this country as he was a divisive politician who has failed to unite his own party.
The FEEZ leader further claimed that contrary to what the opposition thinks, ZANU PF was still a force to reckon with and the recent by elections has proved that the Party was gaining inroads in perceived opposition strongholds. He described ZANU PF as a beast with great mobilisation skills.
Meanwhile, Tsenengamu announced the formation of what he called ‘The Third Way’ that will contest elections next year. He said membership for The Third Way was drawn from various political parties, Civil Society Organisations, Students and Labour movements as well as the business community.
Tsenengamu clarified that he will not be a presidential candidate in next year’s polls as he doesn’t have the political clout to contest against President Mnangagwa.
