ZANU PF members and supporters have flooded the social media much to the chagrin of the MDC-A affiliates who have been left exposed as a party that lacks solid political strategies.
The MDC-A, youths in particular, have been left clueless and full of questions as to how they can handle the ZANU PF supporters who have swarmed the social media scene with a bang.
During the youths conversation in a WhatsApp group called MDC-A Youth Assembly, the youths were praising ZANU PF for flooding the social media platforms, confirming the ineffectiveness of their leadership due to lack of vision.
“ZANU PF has moved in to invade all social media platforms. They are indeed embracing social media relevance. Todambugwa kuground neku media (We are beaten both on social media and on the ground). A record has been set. Vakaoma vanhu vacho. ZANU PF has invested in social media wena,” someone commented in the group.
One of the group members asked their youth league leaders, Chairperson Obey Sithole and Secretary General Gift Siziba Ostallos if their MDC-A party was just a party of words as it does not have a concrete plan to remove the Zanu PF government from power.
“Asi leader hamuoni kuti ichokwadi here ichi. Our major challenge is that hatidi kuudzwa chokwadi, “Hokoyo Mnangagwa Hokoyo”, then zii “The streets will be our second homes” then zii, “We shall make Zimbabwe ungovernable”, then zii, “We have a winning in the Rigged elections strategy (WIRE)”, Todyiwa then totizve we have been rigged. Taimbozvitaurirei when we had no such strategy.
“Looking at the above statements, are we not a party of words? Food for thought”. (But leader can you not see that our major challenge is that we do not want to be told the truth. We threaten President Mnangagwa then we keep quiet, then we threaten to stay in the streets demonstrating then we go quiet, then we say we shall make Zimbabwe ungovernable then we stay quiet, then we say we have a winning formula in the Rigged elections strategy (WIRE). When we get beaten in the elections we say the elections have been rigged. Why do we say such things when we have no strategy?”
However, these fears by the MDC-A that ZANU PF has invaded the social media circles with a bang proves how ZANU PF members are taking heed of President Mnangagwa’s call for members to utilise and make extensive use of social media. President Mnangagwa is on record for saying, “Tambai navo musocial media imomu muvarakashe,” and that is exactly what is happening.
Meanwhile, the MDC-A National Standing Committee is planning to dissolve the National Youth Assembly due to factionalism and incompetence.
